01 · the challenge

M-Akiba is the Government of Kenya’s pioneering retail infrastructure bond — the world’s first sold entirely via mobile money, opening government securities to ordinary citizens from as little as KES 3,000. For its relaunch, three institutions — the Central Depository & Settlement Corporation, The National Treasury and the Nairobi Securities Exchange — needed a digital campaign that could educate a mass audience about an unfamiliar product, drive registrations inside a compressed offer window, and carry every message through the approval protocols of a national, multi-institution platform.

02 · the approach
daily multi-platform content An always-on editorial engine across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram — 57 Facebook posts alone — demystifying bonds, yields and the mobile purchase journey.
paid social & influencer trend KES 401,380 in disciplined media spend across Facebook, Twitter and an influencer-driven trend — each shilling accountable to reach and registrations.
built from zero The campaign’s social presences started from a standing start — zero page likes, zero impressions — and had to earn a national audience inside the window.
three-institution governance Every asset approved across CDSC, Treasury and the NSE — the same regulated-communications fluency we later brought to TRIFIC.
